NPC
NPC (non-player characters) are characters appearing in the game, not controlled by the player but by computer.
Griswold The Blacksmith
Griswold is the best blacksmith in Tristram. He made armours and weapons for King Leoric’s knights. We can buy weapons and armour from him and repair our equipment.
Pepin the Healer
Pepin is the only doctor in the town. He can heal you for free, in addition he sells all kind of elixirs and scrolls that can be useful on a venture through the labyrinth.
Ogden the Tavern Owner
Ogden, together with his wife Garda owns the "Tavern of the Raising Sun". Upon starting the game he will tell us how the hellish powers have taken over the Cathedral.
Gillian the Barmaid
Gillian works as a barmaid in Ogden’s tavern. He remained in tristram to look after her grandmother, who is very sick and has strange visions that no one is able to explain. She hopes to leave Tristram one day and help Ogden and Garda to set up a new huge Tavern in the east.
Cain the Elder
His real name is Deckard Cain the Elder and he is the last descendant of the ancient Horadrim brotherhood, which quest was to guard secrets of eternal evil that lies underneath Tristram Cathedral. Cain has great knowledge and knows many legends and myths. He has great ability to see the true nature of things, which we can use to identify magic items, however, that costs 100 gold.
Adria the Witch
Adria is a witch that came to Tristram right after desecration of the Cathedral, when everyone else was fleeing from there. She lives at the edge of the village, in a house build, seemingly build in one night. You can buy elixirs, scrolls and books from her. In addition she can recharge players magic staffs.
Farnham the Drunk
Together with Griswold, he was one of the people who entered the Cathedral with Archbishop Lazarus. He managed to escape but the events in the Cathedral have took a great toll on his mind. Now he spends his days in Ogden’s Tavern and his speciality is drinking strong beer. Talking to Farnham is a big babble, but there is a bit of truth in his senseless mumble
Wirt the Peg-legged Boy
On the day someone kidnapped Prince Albrecht and many other children, Wirt was also abducted. He was stolen from his mother’s arms – Cenace, by small devilish monsters. The bot was found by Griswold, but the monsters have already managed to get rid of his leg. Wirt trades weapons with different mysterious guild, and thanks to that he has on offer many items that cannot be found anywhere else in Tristram. To see what he has on offer, however, you need to pay him 50 gold pieces.
Wounded Townsman | Kael Rills
His name is Kael Rills, he was a citizen of Tristram, who took a part in rescue expedition for Prince Albrecht lead by Archbishop Lazarus. He escaped the demon known as the Butcher. He asks us to kill the Butcher.
Lester the Farmer
Lester is a farmer who cannot get to his plants because of the strange bulge by his orchard. He will ask you to blow the bulb up.
Complete Nut
As the name suggest a complete nut, dressed as a cow. He excuses his appearance saying he was sitting in his house when suddenly some monstrosities have crept out of the floor and he ran away with what he had in hands. The nut asks you to bring him a "normal" suit he has left at home.
Celia
Celia is a little girl who lost Theo near the strange bulb while playing with him and asks you to find him.
